Your role
We are seeking a talented and experienced freelance iOS/Android developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Android application. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative mobile solutions that enhance user experience and meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- We are looking for a (part-time) iOS/Android developer with the following skills:
- Kotlin: A modern programming language that is fully interoperable with Java and is officially supported by Google for Android development.
- Jetpack Compose: A modern toolkit for building native Android UI. It simplifies and accelerates UI development with less code, powerful tools, and intuitive Kotlin APIs.
- MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel): An architectural pattern that helps in separating the business logic from the UI components. It improves code maintainability, readability, and testability by dividing the application into three main components.
- SwiftUI - A modern UI framework for building user interfaces across all Apple platforms using a declarative Swift syntax.
- Combine - A framework for handling asynchronous events by combining event-processing operators.
- Coordinator (navigation) - A design pattern used for managing navigation flow within the application."
- Kotlin: A modern programming language that is fully interoperable with Java and is officially supported by Google for Android development.
- Work (mostly) independently
- Be motivated to bring our mobile app to the next level
- Good in communication with internal stakeholders
- English is a must, Dutch is a nice to have
- Give your feedback/share thoughts on new features, think together with our product manager, client use cases & UX designer
- Keep up to date with new technologies for mobile development
In addition to the requirements above, we are looking for a mobile developer that can also handle the following tasks:
- Release management (Android/iOS)
- Implementing new features
- Fix bugs
- Update/change REST API's (with preference for Ruby on Rails experience)
- Testing the mobile application, before sending it to QA for UAT
- Maintaining Mobile Applications (performance, improving code,...)
- Writing qualitative & stable code
